Pricing: what does online franchise marketing cost per location?

Three public packages per location, an hourly rate for strategy and clear agreements on what is quoted separately.

By Gijs Bodenstaff · Updated:

Our franchise marketing costs are public. A location costs €199 a month in Basic, €400 in Growth or €600 in Full service (amounts excl. VAT). Strategy, advice and training are charged at €65 per hour, set out in a quote before we start. Media budget for advertising goes directly from you to Google, Microsoft or Meta, with no mark-up through us.

Which packages and prices per location are available?

Each package builds on the previous one. You choose per location, so a franchise brand can have locations in different packages. That keeps the budget predictable: as the brand grows, the amount grows with it at the same rate.

Basic€199Management of the Google Business Profile, monitoring of name, address and phone, monthly report

Basic: getting the foundations right

In Basic we make sure every location profile in Google is correct and stays correct. NAP monitoring means we check name, address and phone number for discrepancies. Read more about Business Profile management per location.

Growth: reviews and activity

Growth adds review management, with every review answered within 24 hours. Of the 100 chains in our benchmark, only 6 achieved that speed. See review management for each location for the approach.

Full service: pages and AI

Full service adds local landing pages per location for each location and works on visibility in ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Copilot and Perplexity. The latter is called GEO for franchise brands.

Are you tied to an annual contract?

No. We do not work with annual contracts. The partnership is based on results and return that can be measured online: every month you see per location what the investment delivers, and you decide yourself whether to continue. We set out the notice period and the term of a pilot in advance in the quote, with no one-year renewal.

This is how you calculate ROI per location: compare the extra actions (call clicks, direction requests, enquiries) with the monthly price of the package. A fictional example: if a location in the Growth package at €400 a month brings in ten extra customers with €60 margin each, that is €600 margin against €400 in costs.

Curious when a package pays for itself? Use the calculator and calculate what local visibility returns with your own number of locations, phone calls and revenue per customer.

How do our prices compare with a fair or a portal?

A comparison in figures is only possible where prices are public. Most portals and recruitment agencies work on a quote basis; the fair in Gorinchem and the recruitment guideline from Franchise+ are exceptions. The full overview with sources is in franchise portal or your own recruitment.

What does it cost for your franchise brand? Worked examples

Below are three fictional franchise brands. The example with 30 locations in Growth comes to €12,000 per month. For comparison: according to the NFV statistics for reference year 2025, a franchise brand in services has an average of 26 locations and in food retail an average of 66 (our own calculation based on figures from the Dutch Franchise Association (NFV)).

Which package suits which location?

Use this worksheet to choose a package for each location. Start with the question of what is going wrong now. Our benchmark of 500 Google Business Profiles showed that 40% were fully completed. For the rest, Basic is often already a big step forward.

Which services are priced on a quote?

Not everything fits in a package per location. Social media, online franchisee recruitment, SEO for the franchise brand website and ad management are offered at a fixed monthly price on a quote. That amount depends on the number of channels, the volume of content and the goals. Even then you get a fixed price, not an open-ended one.

For strategy, advice and training we charge an hourly rate of €65. Think of a session with the head office marketing department or a training for franchisees on reviews. You receive a quote in advance with the number of hours, so the total is fixed. You will find what we do in the overview of our services.

We do not charge franchisee recruitment as an advertising package or subscription. You pay nothing upfront; you pay per verified introduction to a candidate who has been checked in advance for own capital, region and motivation, and a success fee if a contract is signed. We agree the amounts in writing beforehand. How that works is explained in recruitment without an advertising package.

You pay the advertising budget yourself

With Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads, the media budget goes straight from your account to the platform. We only charge for management. That way you see exactly what has been spent on clicks and impressions.

How do you start without committing the whole budget straight away?

You start with the free visibility scan and a pilot with a group of locations. Only then do you choose a package per location. That sequence is set out in our four-step way of working. Would you like a quote for social, recruitment or ad management? You can get in touch with our team or book an introductory call right away.

What does a location outside the Google Maps top 3 cost you?

This calculation uses Dutch figures instead of American click-through rates. The average revenue per franchise location comes from the Dutch Franchise Association (NFV) statistics, reference year 2025. Nobody can say in advance exactly how much revenue a location loses without a top position in Google Maps, with a Google Business Profile that is not in order, or without proper review management. So you calculate a scenario per cause: a few percent of revenue going to a more visible competitor. Add them up and you see the combined cost.

  • 6 of the 100 largest Dutch franchise chains reply to a Google review within 24 hours; the average response time is 6.8 days and 90% has no demonstrable review management process.
  • Only 40% of the 500 Google Business Profiles examined is fully completed.
  • In the measurement one review was viewed around 15,000 times on average: an unanswered complaint stays visible to thousands of people.
  • 42% of consumers would rather not do business with a company that never replies to reviews (BrightLocal 2026).

Questions about pricing and costs

Are the prices per location inclusive of VAT?
No, VAT is added to all amounts. A location in Basic costs €199 per month, in Growth €400 and in Full service €600. The hourly rate for strategy, advice and training is €65, also excl. VAT. Media budget for advertising is not included; it goes directly from you to the advertising platform.
Can locations within one franchise brand have different packages?
Yes. You choose a package per location. A busy location in a large city can get Full service, while a smaller location starts with Basic. The dashboard shows for each location what the package delivers, so you can scale up or down later on a sound basis.
What does NAP monitoring in the Basic package cover?
NAP stands for name, address, phone. We check whether those details are the same everywhere for each location and flag discrepancies, for example when someone else has suggested an edit to a profile. Inconsistent details confuse customers and search engines, so we correct them as quickly as possible.
Do you charge a mark-up on advertising budget?
No. You transfer media budget for Google Ads, Microsoft Ads or Meta Ads to the advertising platform yourself. We only charge for managing the campaigns, at a fixed monthly price on a quote. That way you keep full sight of what goes to the platform and what goes to the agency.
Why is there no price for social media and recruitment?
Because the scope varies widely by franchise brand. It depends on the number of channels, how much content is needed and whether you want to work nationally or per location. So we draw up a quote with a fixed amount per month. You then know in advance exactly what you will pay, just as with the packages.
How do I budget online marketing for the whole franchise brand?
Multiply the number of locations by the package price and add any quotes and advertising budget. With 30 locations in Growth, that is €12,000 per month for the packages. Many franchise brands pay for this from the marketing fund, but whether that is allowed is set out in your franchise agreement.
What does a strategy session with head office cost?
Strategy, advice and training are charged at an hourly rate of €65 excl. VAT. You receive a quote in advance with the number of hours, so the total is fixed. A session can cover the division of tasks between head office and locations, the choice of channels or how to set up recruitment.
Is the visibility scan really free?
Yes. The scan is free and without obligation. You get a baseline measurement per location of your visibility in Google, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Bing and AI assistants. No automatic quote or commitment follows. You decide yourself whether to start a pilot with a group of locations afterwards.
What is the difference between Growth and Full service?
Growth is about the profiles: management, quick responses to reviews and regular posts. Full service goes further with a dedicated landing page for each location and with GEO. With GEO we work on the visibility of your locations in ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Copilot and Perplexity.
Do I have to sign an annual contract for online franchise marketing?
No. We work without an annual contract. The partnership runs as long as the online measurable results and the return per location add up. The term of any pilot and the notice period are set out in the quote beforehand, so you know exactly where you stand and can decide for yourself every month.
