Privacy policy

Which data we process, why we do so and what your rights are.

This English translation is provided for convenience; the Dutch version is legally binding. In this privacy policy you can read how Franchise Marketing Bureau, St Jacobsstraat 123-135, 3511 BP Utrecht, handles personal data. We only process the data we need to answer your question or deliver our services. In doing so, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Which personal data do we process?

When you fill in the form for the free visibility scan or email us, we receive your name, job title, email address, phone number and any information you choose to send, such as the name of your franchise brand. For an assignment, we also process contact and billing details. We do not process any special categories of personal data.

Why do we use your data and how long do we keep it?

We use your data to handle your request, get in touch with you, carry out an assignment and send invoices. We keep data no longer than necessary for that purpose, or for as long as the law requires for our accounts. We never sell data to third parties.

Who do we share data with and how do we secure it?

We only share data with parties we need to deliver our services, such as our hosting provider or a regular freelancer working on your assignment. We make agreements with them on confidentiality and security. We secure the site with an encrypted connection and limit access to data to the people who need it.

Which rights do you have over your data?

You can always ask to access, correct or delete your data, and you can object to its use. To do so, email info@franchiseseo.nl. Would you rather call or send a message? Then visit our contact details page. If you feel we are not handling your data with care, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Questions about privacy and personal data

Who is responsible for my personal data?
Franchise Marketing Bureau, located at St Jacobsstraat 123-135 in Utrecht, is responsible for what happens to your data as described in this policy. We answer privacy questions via our general email address, daily between eight in the morning and seven in the evening.
What do you do with the data from the scan form?
We only use the data from the form to carry out the visibility scan, get in touch with you and discuss the outcome. Without your consent, we will not send you a newsletter or any other messages unrelated to your request.
Do you sell or rent out my data?
No, never. We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties. We only share data with parties that help us deliver our work, such as the hosting provider, and only as far as needed for the service you use.
How long do you keep my contact details?
We only keep your data for as long as the purpose for which you provided it requires. If no collaboration follows, we delete it within a reasonable period after our contact ends. Data needed for our accounts is kept for as long as the law requires.
Can I have my data deleted?
Yes. Send us an email with that request and we will erase your data, unless we are legally required to keep it, for example for tax records. In that case, we will tell you which data is still kept and why.
How do I request access to the data you hold about me?
Ask us by email. We may ask you to confirm your identity, so that we do not give data to the wrong person. We will then send you a list of everything we record about you.
Do you use AI tools with my personal data?
We use AI to collect and analyse public data about the profiles and listings of locations. We do not enter personal data from forms or emails into AI tools unnecessarily. Where we use tools, we pay attention to the agreements on data protection.
How is my data secured?
The site uses an encrypted connection. Access to data is limited to the people in our team who need it for their work. With parties that process data on our behalf, we make agreements on security and confidentiality.
Where can I go with a privacy complaint?
Start with us, as a misunderstanding can often be resolved quickly. If we cannot resolve it together, you can lodge your complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), the supervisory authority for the protection of personal data in the Netherlands.
Can this privacy policy change?
Yes. If our services or the rules change, we update this policy. The top of the page shows when the text was last updated. If there are major changes that affect you directly, we will let you know actively.
